Juggling the muse

To many places at one time I go

I be, I dwell,

I am, too

At work, at home, with friends

And in mind, I float always;

Grilling chicken, dressing salad

Washing dishes, I even plan breakfast;

Closing files, attending meets

Delegating tasks, I even plan my next poem;

It’s my way of life!

When I crib about day ending and

Sit around sulking, refusing to be cheered

But feeling guilty of wasting that moment

It’s me the way I am

It’s my way of life!

When I write a 100 words in mind

And listen to my girl’s school games

And feel guilty of neither being with her

Nor granting those words to paper

It’s me the way I am

It’s my way of life!

When I go visiting, keeping social norms

And feel the muse itching, I simply smile

Caressing it, I take a bite and compliment the host

Massaging as I allow being tossed, I play

I play with my muse, lest it walks away

And not let me be ME

The way I am…juggling

A juggler!

  1. I too juggle a lot of thoughts… and sometimes become absent minded too.

  2. That’s fabulous Nisha! Don’t we all juggle so many things? 🙂

  4. Juggling the muse and juggling your life with so many tasks and responsibilities can be daunting at times! 🙂 It reminded me a post I wrote which you might enjoy and appreciate: http://xpressyouressence.blogspot.ca/2014/09/talented-thursday-blogging-and.html 🙂 ❤
