The widow hugged her son as he left in pursuit of greener pastures.
She lived for his daily evening calls.
After a year, he said, “I’m married!”
Two years later… “You are a grandma!” She blessed him.
One evening she said, “Don’t waste money asking about me. I’m fine if I know you are happy.”
Thereafter, every evening she only said -“God Bless son” – when he said ‘Bye’.
One day he arrived to surprise her. He hid outside and called.
His neighbour came, placed a recorder before the receiver and left.
Dejected he sat down with his pen and diary…

The son had left a green pasture , his mom, to chase a mirage. So sad.

Really heartbreaking. We run behind money and materialistic success so much so that we forget our loved ones who are left behind :/.
